Green Mountain Care is a family of low-cost and free health coverage programs for Vermonters and is offered by the state of Vermont and its partners. Green Mountain Care provides uninsured Vermonters with access to quality, comprehensive health care coverage at a reasonable cost.

Some of the programs you may know – such as Dr. Dynasaur and Vermont Health Access Plan (VHAP) – and some are new, like Catamount Health which includes Premium Assistance and Employer-Sponsored Insurance (ESI) Premium Assistance. Prescription Assistance is also available for uninsured Vermonters and those with insurance such as Medicare.

Together, Green Mountain Care programs equal the most comprehensive group of state-based health coverage programs Vermont has ever seen.
